Stock Market Information

Here we will be discussing information needed to trade stocks.  This includes the hours of operation for the stock market as well as holidays in which the market is closed.  When the market is closed trades can still be made but the are considered either pre market or after hours.  It is important to indicate that not all types of trades that can be made during the hours the market is closed.  For example, options can only be traded when the market is open so no matter what happens when the market is closed a person can not buy or sell options.

Other info on the stock market that will go in this section includes the physical locations of the stock exchanges.  While the NYSE is on Wallstreet there are numerous other regional stock exchanges that are all important to the stock market.  We will provide information on not only NYSE and NASDAQ but also these other exchanges.
